In comparison to the Caucasian facial anatomy, Asians often have smaller, less pronounced noses. While other ethnicities typically seek a more narrow nose, many Asians desire a more defined bridge and nasal tip. This has created the need for Asian nose surgery.
Charles S. Lee, M.D., F.A.C.S. performs this type of nose surgery (“rhinoplasty”) to improve the nose with the use of implants and natural tissues. At Enhance ® Medical Center, Inc., Dr. Lee has perfected the art of Asian plastic surgery and remains one of the top specialists in this field.
“Doc! You have absolutely done wonders for me! Thank you for correcting my first nightmare nose job because I absolutely LOVE my new nose.”
-Patient Testimonial-
Dr. Lee will perform Asian rhinoplasty surgery to individually meet a patient’s needs. In order to improve the size and shape of a non-Caucasian nose, silicone implants, or Porex or Gore-Tex ® (prefabricated shapes) will be placed along the nasal bridge. Dr. Lee will insert the implants along the bridge after the nose bone is shaved into the desired shape; this helps to smooth out any bumps along the nose. Since a majority of Asians have less defined and projected nasal tips than Caucasians, Dr. Lee uses natural tissue from the ears and nose septum to shape this area into what the patient desires.

In addition to Asian nose surgery, double eyelid surgery (“Asian eyelid surgery”) is a commonly requested procedure. Dr. Lee can combine these two procedures in order to provide an overall improvement to the face.
